(Apologies for cross-posting, but this question came up on both lists
today.)

The question about Blackboard and EZproxy integration is rather timely.
Useful Utilities has developed a Blackboard Building Block to allow
EZproxy to reroute authentication and authorization processing through
Blackboard. This building block allows for either complete integration
that replaces the normal EZproxy login process, or a mixed-mode where the
existing login page can be supplemented with a link to Blackboard to allow
a combination of existing login methods along with this new method.

The Blackboard username is provided to EZproxy in the and various
Blackboard attributes can be mapped to EZproxy groups, enabling a variety
of advanced configurations. This method automatically works with all
existing EZproxy URLs, so no existing URLs have to be reworked to take
advantage of this integration.

The building block is scheduled for release to beta testing next week.
It requires Blackboard 6.0 or later and EZproxy 3.2b GA (2005-04-03) or
later. If you are interested in participating in beta testing or would
just like to be kept informed of the status of the building block, please
contact me directly.

Thank.

Chris
