DOAJ provides an article level search <http://www.doaj.org/findarticles>
from 320 OA journals <http://www.doaj.org/jorart>. A quick glance at
the participating journals list confirmed my initial suspicion. The
participating journals are primarily from SciELO <http://scielo.org> and
BioMed Central <http://biomedcentral.com>, which offer cross-journal
article searching within their own platforms. I'm confident that SciELO
and BioMed Central are leveraging OAI-MHP to provide their internal
search services, making participation in the DOAJ article search much
easier.

HighWire offers a cross-journal search function
<http://highwire.stanford.edu/cgi/search/>, too, although few of the
titles hosted by HighWire are Open Access.
