Moving from HTML4.01 to XHTML transitional

I want to thank everyone for their able assistance. I am making
significant progress on my project. Most of the errors are such things
as <li> not followed by </li> or <br> instead of <br />. These errors
are very easy to fix. Some of the stranger ones are the long hyphen and
other escaped characters occasionally not recognized in XHTML 1.0. I
just changed the hyphens to other punctuation that did not require
escape characters. I am slowly making my way through the top level
pages down to lower levels. It was not as hard as I thought it would
be. It is time consuming but productive work.
