Strictly speaking no. Ultimately it depends on two things:

1. How clean your code was in HTML. If it was sloppy, converting to clean
XHTML may cause minor problems. Good HTML in, should cause no noticeable
XHTML problems.

2. CSS. There's the big one. The more CSS you use, the more IE can be a
problem due to nonstandard implementations. The only reason I mention this
is that XHTML authors tend to rely on CSS more than HTML authors, especially
if you're attempting XHTML Strict.
