Browser birthday of note

Ten years ago yesterday (10/13/2004), Mosaic Communications Corp issued 
a press release announcing the availability of a new web browser called 
Netscape: <http://wp.netscape.com/newsref/pr/newsrelease1.html>.  As far 
as I can tell, this coincided with Netscape 1.0b1.  The company 
officially changed its name in November, and released 1.0 in December.

(Then they started yapping about the browser becoming the desktop, and 
how Java would make the desktop OS irrelevant, and generally doing 
everything they could to make themselves a target for You Know Who.)
