I would just like to mention two sites I have found that provide visual
context tools that I find interesting; I offer this just for interest and in
case some of you are unaware of them. 
The first is Topic Map; you can see it at  http://highwire.stanford.edu and
the link is toward the bottom of the screen:
(Browse using TopicMap, a graphical viewer (what's this?))

The second is the Visual Thesaurus. Unfortunately they appear to have gone
commercial - when I first saw this you could go in and play for a long time;
now they only let you have 2 free tries. However it's still interesting.
