Now I'm glad that I do most of my book purchases through Powells, not
Amazon, although because of a quirk Amazon now thinks that I am in

This happens at our reference desk PC--when one of us is perusing our own 'recommendations' page (I do this to get ideas on SciFi, which I buy), but then forget to sign out before doing a search for something a patron wants. Suddenly the 'personal' recommendations start skewing toward that latest search.

Which can be amusing when someone childless like myself suddenly gets hits for "Mommy and Me" videos ;) I quickly rate it "Not Interested" (heaven forfend!) and it starts to go away. C'est l'Amazon.
