Whether you are designing a new Web site or updating an existing site, 
knowing how to develop an effective site is crucial. The ARL/OLMS Online 
Lyceum course, Designing for the Web, focuses on goal-directed design to 
provide you with an overview of basic Web design principles, usability 
issues, and key questions to ask when designing online.

Designing for the Web brings together high-quality content and the 
expertise of experienced facilitators to offer an interactive distance 
learning experience. In this course you will learn with your fellow 
participants how to critically analyze audience needs, identify key 
issues related to Web aesthetics, and focus on content & organization 
design principles. Prior Web experience is not required.
