For all you Microsoft Outlook Users:
(specific instructions for Office 2000)
In Outlook,
Tools (menu) -->
  Options (menu) -->
    Mail Format (tab) -->
      Send in this format (drop-down-list) -->
        Plain Text (select-from-list) -->
          Apply (button) -->
            OK (button)

Voila, Plain text is set & your outgoing messages will always be plain text
(to the everlasting happiness of everyone, especially other M$ Outlook users, like me, and mailing list digest recipients)

PS Outlook 98 & 2003 have almost the same steps :)

I also like the guideline to set e-mail to plain text, which many of us beg
people to do in the first place. "Why? How?"
