I trust we'll bear in mind that, for some people, this is the most 
annoying thing about going to a Borders or B&N store.  It has become an 
opt-out requirement every &@#! time you go up to the register.  Maybe we 
can add a field to the patron record--"Never ever ask me about e-mail 
notification again: yes"
