seeking screen capturing software

Hi,

I wish to capture a number of websites as JPEG images. I then wish to resize these images. However, reducing the size of the image causes considerable degradation of the image's quality. Is there software that will allow me to capture and resize the screenshot at the same time and which will thereby avoid this degradation problem?

Any ideas would be much appreciated.
