LIBRARIAN I (ELECTRONIC PERIODICALS LIBRARIAN) - P18Sept - 008209 - Fondren 
Library Center, Central University Libraries, Southern Methodist 
University-  (Salary: $30,000 minimum.) - This position within Collection 
Development reports to the Periodicals Librarian and has responsibility for 
the management of electronic journals in Fondren Library Center. The 
management of these resources includes participation in their selection, 
licensing, and maintenance. This librarian serves on the Electronic 
Resources team and provides reference services.  Required: ALA-accredited 
MLS degree. Degree must be awarded by 01/31/2003. Knowledge of print and 
electronic resources.  Must have strong computer skills including 
searching, database design, web authoring, and basic office 
applications.   Candidates must demonstrate strong organizational, 
analytical, interpersonal, and written and oral communication skills. Must 
also demonstrate the ability to work independently and in a team 
environment with a strong commitment to serving library users. Preferred: 
Knowledge of a subject sufficient to assist in Collection Development, 
preferably within a science or engineering discipline. Experience working 
with electronic resource management, licensing, or collection 
development.  This position has some weekend and evening reference services
