The Pew Internet & American Life Project released a new study this week: The
Internet Goes to College: How students are living in the future with today's
technology. The full report is available at:
http://www.pewinternet.org/reports/pdfs/PIP_College_Report.pdf

One of the key findings relates to libraries: "Nearly three-quarters (73%)
of college students say they use the Internet more than the library, while
only 9% said they use the library more than the Internet for information
searching." The report discusses this more on pages 12-13.

The report is very thought provoking, and I'll be interested to hear
reactions to it.
