There are lots of 'cut and paste' JavaScripts for dynamic tree menus available on various web sites. (Though a good many of the scripts require specific browsers and/or versions to work properly.)

One of many on the Earthweb site (http://webdeveloper.earthweb.com/webjs) site is: http://webdeveloper.earthweb.com/webjs/item/0,3602,10437_93011,00.html

Subject: [WEB4LIB] Javascript source

I am looking for a Javascript to create cascading menu. The folks I am
working with want a menu in a from on the left side of the screen that
will allow them to expand a few basic options into a great many links. I
have only found one script that is close. Any help?
