I agree with you about the publicity angle particularly in a non-library 
publication. 

Although many of the services mentioned in the article are available elsewhere, 
it's still great to see/read positive articles about libraries, particularly 
public libraries, in this time of cutbacks, calls for elimination, etc. 

If this article gets just a few people to check out what's available at a public 
library, in the physical structure and resources available remotely, than imho it 
has proved useful. 

Those of us in the library/web4lib world are aware about many of the exciting 
things going on in the profession. However, it's been my experience that most 
folks in the general public have little or no knowledge of what's happening. 

Yes, some patrons currently use the library MIGHT have an idea of new services, 
tools, and databases but what about marketing/motivating to those who haven't 
been in a library in many years to stop by and learn more?
