:Interesting thought, but since most blogs are chronologically
:arranged, wouldn't you have a problem with keeping the important
:things "up front" or "up top" without going through some contortions?

In theory (like I need to be theorizing this morning, up to my ears as I
am) a library could design a pretty nice page where the static links
wrapped around newsy stuff. The templates in tools such as Blogger are
infinitely malleable--it's jes' code. The lii.org "possible resources"
blog (http://lii.blogspot.com/ ) has a lot of links on the side, and it
would take some simple CSS to make the permanent stuff large and
prominent, and the newsy stuff not quite so prominent. In fact, I keep
meaning to redesign it... when I get a round tuit...
