Yeah...there's no direct mention on the Google home page...you have to click
on the "Jobs, Press, Cool Stuff" link, which takes you to the "about" page,
where Google Answers is just one of many links. And when you go the Google
Answers page, it says "beta".

Looks like they are breaking this in gradually, which is probably smart.
It's better to get a feel for how this will work before making it really
obvious to the hordes of people who regularly use Google.
