Sense of Place & Library Web Sites

I am writing an article and I am looking for some chatty quotes to the
effect of "My library web site has sense of place because_______," or "Sense
of place is an important feature of library web design because_______."

I am not concerned with an absolute definition of sense of place, just what
it means to you (certain images, stories, motifs, metaphors on your
site)--nor am I concerned with non-electronic sense of place issues.

Sense of place online to me means representing the physical space of the
library online, presenting it in context of it's community and physical
visitors. Also making the library web site a destination, a place.
