Reference librarians and the Web?

Interesting piece in the new issue of American Libraries (March 2002, pp.
50-53). It's a summary of the talks given by Abe Anhang and Steve Coffman at
the 2001 conference of the Ontario Library Association. The title of Abe's
talk was "Be it resolved that reference librarians are toast", while Steve's
talk was titled "Be it resolved that reference librarians are not toast."

An interesting debate on how the Web has (and will) affect reference
librarians.
