There are still spots available for the ALA LITA Preconference "Working
with Open Source Software: A Hands-On Preconference" on Friday 6/14/02

This workshop provides hands-on experience in using and implementing Open
Source tools and software as they relate to libraries. Held at Emory
University, participants will attend an opening overview session and then
will attend 3 out of 9 break-out sessions focused on a particular Open
Source tool or software, the day will end with an hour long Q&A. Each
break-out session will feature a different Open Source software and be
taught by an expert for that particular technology. Break-out sessions
will be held in computer labs allowing for hands-on practice.
Open source applications covered include: Sitesearch (basic and advanced),
MyLibrary, Citation Manager, Marc.PM, OAI software, Jake, and WIBS.
