Mozilla has released version 1.0 of their browser suite.

http://mozilla.org/releases/

As MozillaZine notes, this release is the culmination of 4 years of work
by the open-source community as well as significant support from
Netscape/AOL.

Mozilla has branched off the code for 1.0 and will continue to enhance
that code with bug fixes and security patches. This branch is intended for
use by developers creating Mozilla-based programs that need a relatively
stable codebase. At the same time, Mozilla will continue to develop the
"trunk" code with new features, enhancements and improvements to the
current Mozilla release.

It should be noted that Mozilla does not generally recognize their product
as developed for end-users. They do not intend to provide end-user support
and they expect applications developed on the Mozilla code, like Netscape
7, Galeon, K-Meleon, Chimera, Beonex and others to fill that role.
However, most end-users should have no difficulty making use of the
Mozilla suite as a replacement for previous versions of Netscape or
Internet Explorer.
