xrefer and The British Library are pleased to invite you to a free
half-day conference (1pm to 7:00pm). 

"Living up to user expectations: The librarian's challenge of 
delivering online reference within and without the library" will 
provide a unique opportunity for all librarians and information
scientists to gain insight for dealing with the challenges posed 
by an increasingly sophisticated and demanding user base.
 
The conference will enable all librarians to:
* learn about the delivery of online reference services
* hear how others are addressing the needs of their users
* hear balanced views from librarians and publishers alike
* discover future trends and issues from leading experts
* network with other librarians over drinks

Speakers include Chris Rusbridge from The University of 
Glasgow, Louise Rice from Oxford University Press, Linda Berube 
from Co-East Plus, Daryl Rayner from xrefer, Mike Crump from the British
Library and Linda McCabe and Katharine Schopflin from the BBC.
