HealthWeb Announces Updates to Benefit Users

Improved search capabilities are now available.

New subject disciplines have been added, including Anesthesiology, Sports 
Medicine, Urban Health, and Urology.

New partners have joined the project including Case Western Reserve 
University, Mayo Foundation, Spectrum Health, and Wayne State University.

A bright new logo and color scheme have been created.

HealthWeb evaluates and provides access to quality Internet-accessible 
health information and education resources for health care professionals 
and consumers.

HealthWeb's value as a tool to facilitate Internet access to health-related 
resources has been recognized by organizations and publications such as:

Medical Library Association, JAMA, Academic Physician and Scientist, 
Internet Scout Project, Chronicle of Higher Education, Fortune, Medical 
Reference Services Quarterly, Newsweek, and Public Library Quarterly.

HealthWeb is a collaborative project of the health sciences libraries of 
the Greater Midwest Region (GMR) of the National Network of Libraries of 
Medicine (NN/LM) and those of the Committee for Institutional Cooperation. 
Currently there are over twenty actively participating member libraries. 
HealthWeb is supported by the National Library of Medicine (NLM) under 
Contract No. NO1-LM-1-3513 with the University of Illinois at Chicago.
