The Naval Research Laboratory announces two librarian vacancies in its
Research Library.

The first position is a Supervisory Librarian Level 3, managing the
Library's Research Reports Section.  Level 3 is roughly the equivalent of a
GS-11 through GS-12, salary range $43,941 - $69,895.  This position is
therefore open to federal candidates who are at the GS-9 level and above,
and to non-federal candidates with the requisite qualifications.  This
position requires experience in handling Classified documents.  Some
background in science or experience in science libraries is desirable.
Vacancy Announcement #NRL-01-0058 is for the use of federal applicants;
Vacancy Announcement #DM-NRL-01-0791-NR is for use of non-federal
applicants.


The second position is a non-supervisory Librarian Level 2 or Level 3 to
manage Website content.  This is a career ladder position (through the
equivalent of GS-12) and can be filled at any level starting at GS-9, salary
range $23,920 - $69,895.  It is therefore open to federal candidates with a
Library degree who are at the GS-7 level and above and to non-federal
candidates with the requisite qualifications.  Some technical Web editing
skills are required.  Vacancy Announcement #NRL-01-0059 is for the use of
federal applicants; Vacancy Announcement #DM-NRL-0810-NR is for use of
non-federal applicants.
