One of the lists wizards (thanks again to Paul McMillin) already solved the 
problem on the page I own.  My code was at fault---I was using the 
predefined method "load" as a function name. Although Netscape 4.x and 
IE5.x apparently forgive this sloppiness, Netscape 6.x does not.
