PROFESSIONAL LIBRARIAN I, (INFORMATION 
TECHNOLOGY/REFERENCE LIBRARIAN), (regular, full-time): 
$29,910 annually. Requires Master’s Degree in Library Science (MLS) 
from an ALA accredited university. Prefer two years of progressively 
responsible experience in library operations; experience performing 
reference and bibliographic instruction; experience using the Dynix 
library automation system. Requires knowledge of library operations, 
record keeping and filing methods; thorough working knowledge of 
personal computers; experience using CD-ROM & online databases, 
experience with integrated library automation system; demonstrated 
ability to perform reference & bibliographic instruction. Work 40 hours 
per week, as scheduled by the Library Director, including two evenings 
a week and Saturdays. Provide general reference desk service including 
computerized database & internet searching services. Develop & teach 
computer classes, responsible for the Library’s PC-Lab and OPAC 
computers. Responsible for audio-visual collection development.
