Wireless Librarian

I am now a wireless librarian. As I write this I am now using my laptop not
physically connected to anything. (My feet are firmly planted, its the
laptop that is not physically connected.) I received my wireless Ethernet
card this afternoon. While not as fast as the direct connection, I can now
walk freely around the library helping patrons and still be connected with
my tools firmly in hand. If there is any interest I will report from time
to time on my experiences using wireless. I have looked at wireless PDAs and
frankly find them very underpowered when compared to my wireless laptop.

You see, I don't believe that libraries should be drab places where people
sit in silence, and that's been the main reason for our policy of employing
wild animals as librarians.
