Job Post:  Librarians with advanced skills

                  Immediate openings

Location: These are contract positions at:

 IBM’s T. J. Watson Research Center at Yorktown Heights, NY

Description:

Immediate contract openings for 3, 6, and 12-month term projects in
Westchester County, NY for individuals with advanced training in Library
Science.

The contracted individuals will be engaged in a project developing new
technology in a search-related field. This will involve working with a
small team of programmers and librarians. 

note: Experience in this environment can enhance the IT-related
component of one's resume. 



Requirements: for project-based Librarian positions:

· MS in Library Science or closely related discipline or BS plus 2 or
more years experience.
· At least 2 years working with web search engines i.e. Yahoo, Lycos,
Google, AltaVista, etc.
· A definite plus is any experience in constructing taxonomies or in
using advanced search technologies.
. Eclectic interests and background, a plus
