Call for Articles: IRSQ (Internet Reference Services Quarterly)

Internet Reference Services Quarterly (IRSQ) is seeking article 
submissions.  Articles are accepted for review at any time.

Starting with v.6, 2001, IRSQ will be published in both a print and 
electronic format.  IRSQ focuses on the practical and theoretical 
applications and resources of the Internet in all aspects of librarianship 
and all sizes of libraries.  Topics in IRSQ highlight theoretical, 
research, and practical application of Internet-related information 
services, sources, and resources.

Please see the IRSQ web site at www.irsq.com for detailed instructions to 
authors.  Electronic submissions are encouraged.  Most article length 
manuscripts are peer-reviewed by IRSQ: Internet Reference Services 
Quarterly's Editorial Board.  The Editor reserves the right to 
accept/reject any manuscript.  Certain manuscripts that are invited by the 
Editor are not peer-reviewed.

The following types of articles are appropriate:

*Editorials.
  *Descriptions and practical applications of specific Internet sources and
ways to teach library patrons about and "how to" use the Internet.
*Articles to help readers understand and utilize Internet sources and
services within and among libraries.
*Articles about using information resources in a networked environment.
*Analysis of new issues and trends affecting libraries and their usage of
the Internet.
*Explorative, thought-provoking, controversial articles dealing with
specific Internet issues.
*Suggestions for providing organized access to the Internet, including
cataloging of Internet sources and services
*Historical/retrospective library-Internet articles.
*"How my library did it good" articles.
*Research articles and case studies that relate to or support practical 
library Internet applications.

The Editor encourages queries from prospective authors via e-mail at 
editor at irsq.com.

Additional articles for a special issue on "Indexing the Web" are also 
being solicited, with a submission due date of January 15, 2001.  Please 
contact IRSQ Editorial Board member Lyn Grimes at lyng at kendra.com for more 
information on this issue.
