[WEB4LIB] Foreign Language Support in BBEdit?

Hello,

BBEdit can work with characters in either the Mac's encoding, in 
8859-1, or as character entities, and can translate freely among the 
three options. What's needed are 1) a BBEdit Tool called MIDex 
(either distributed with BBEdit or freely available from their site) 
to translate between Mac and ISO encodings, and 2) an ISO Latin-1 
font. There's a free one (called, appropriately enough, "ISO 
Latin-1") that looks a lot like Monaco, but I've forgotten its source.

BBEdit itself can translate back and forth between Mac-encoded 
characters and 8859-1 character entities, so you have a lot of 
options to work with. Just be sure that the end product uses entities 
or an appropriate Latin-1 encoding, not a system-specific one.
