Filemaker portal expertise solicited

I'm having some trouble getting data to display through a Filemaker 
portal using a web browser. (It works in Filemaker proper).

Anyone have expertise in this area that they could afford to lend 
me? 

I'll explain the details off list so as not to bore non-Filemaker users 
to tears.
