Font display in <textarea>

Hi folks,

I have searched the archives and had a look at mountaindragon.com, but
cannot find anything relating to this minor query.

I'm running Win95, using Dreamweaver2 and EditPad for HTML.
I have a form which contains both textfields and textareas.
When I input text to the textarea and textfield in Netscape(4+) they appear
the same (font). But in IE(5) the fonts display differently - Ariel for the
textfields and what looks like Courier (or sys font) in the textarea.

I'd like them to be the same. Its not "vital", but more aesthetically
appealing.

I'm still a newbie to HTML - is this supposed to happen? Any fix?

Thanks,

Vicki
