At our site we have done both - including cataloging of online journals (including titles in Proquest). We encountered the same frustrating problems trying to enter holdings information in the Proquest site, including the fact that there can only be one entry per ISSN - we have separate records for different formats in many cases, and would have to do substantial programming to consolidate all this into an output file for Proquest. Or we could have the Catalogers enter each title's information manually, title by title...NOT.

We gave up asking for enhancements to the holdings capabilities on Proquest over a year ago. So we have no holdings linkage in Proquest, and users know that this capability (which they are familiar with from other sites) is not available from UMI's Proquest site.
