That is it, exactly, Eric.  And thank you all for responding so quickly!! 

Thanks to Darryl Friesen, Thomas Dowling, Andrew Mutch, John Hubbard, Bob
Duncan, Hanan Cohen, and Roy for the help.  

One other thing - the style sheet already validated without correcting my
typo. This was one of the "warnings" that the W3C validator displayed
below the "errors" area onscreen. For those who validate both html and
css, to what degree do you (attempt to) eliminate the warnings you receive
from the validator?  Thanks again.
