Holland, MI votes NO on filtering Library Internet service

For those who haven't heard the news this morning, voters in Holland, Michigan
rejected a proposal that would have required the library to filter all but one
Internet terminal under threat of losing its share of funding from the City of
Holland [the library is a district library serving the city and three
townships].  The proposal was heavily backed by the American Family Association
and filter proponents outspent filters opponents at a rate of 20 to 1.  The
results were especially impressive considering the population of the
Holland-area includes a large percentage of religious conservatives.  You can
