ASSISTANT UNIVERSITY LIBRARIAN: REFERENCE POSITION
UNIVERSITY OF NORTH FLORIDA, JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA
Provide user services in a service-oriented, technologically innovative
library.  Twelve-month, non-tenure faculty.

SALARY: $28,000 minimum

REQUIRED:  Master's degree from an ALA-accredited program by June 1, 2000,
excellent oral and written communication skills, proficiency in using
print and electronic reference resources and networked Internet services;
strong keyboard skills; ability to work with and instruct library users in
an efficient, courteous and patient manner; ability and willingness to
adapt to change; professional curiosity, initiative, and enthusiasm.

QUALIFICATIONS:  Strong research, information, and instructional skills to
provide user services in a service-oriented, technologically supported
library.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: Reference desk services with scheduled nights
and weekends, library user instruction, collection development and
maintenance, and Web publishing.  Send cover letter, resume, and names of
