A color is a either a keyword or a numerical RGB specification...The
suggested list of keyword color names is: aqua, black, blue, fuchsia,
gray, green, lime, maroon, navy, olive, purple, red, silver, teal,
white, and yellow. These 16 colors are taken from the Windows VGA
palette, and their RGB values are not defined in this specification.

So no support in the spec for "darkred".

Opera renders the "404 Not Found" message perfectly. :-)

Looking at <URL:http://depts.alverno.edu/library/dbsubject.html>:

The stylesheet for TD.bolda includes:
  font-size:smaller;

The spec doesn't define how much smaller than normal text "smaller"
should be. With my settings in IE and Mozilla, that text is in
flyspeck mode also.

I couldn't tell you about the subscription services, since I can't get
in to most of what you have.
