The National Library of Medicine seeks a librarian to evaluate and select
Internet and print resources for the Library's collection and databases.

In addition to reviewing and selecting monographs, serials, and Internet
resources in assigned languages and from assigned areas of the world, the
selector also will perform other duties such as reviewing incoming material,
searching online databases, initiating communication with publishers and
vendors, participating in special projects such as collection assessments
and collaborative projects with other program areas of the library; and
creating and editing records in the Library's integrated library system,
Endeavor Voyager.

Desired qualifications include these KSAs (knowledges, skills and
abilities):  1)  ability to identify and select print and Internet
resources; 2)  skill in writing and interpersonal communication;  3)
knowledge of subject matter related to health care or the life sciences; and
4) ability to access databases and integrated library systems and to utilize
computer hardware and software.

Salary:   $ 35,310.00 - $ 66,564.00
Librarian Series and Grade:  GS 1410 - 9/11/12
