CD-RWs at public computers

Does anyone make CD-RWs available on public access
computers?

Does anyone make CD-RWs available as a service for
the public but with the CD burning handled by
Staff?

Does anyone do a theme-and-variation of either of
the above?

How do you deal with piracy and the attendant
legal issues?

We are dealing with a legitimate request by some
users to make CD-RWs available for less expensive
data storage than Zip disks provide. However, we
are concerned about the rate of piracy that would
occur, including that of our library music CD
collection. We are wondering how others have
dealt with this issue.

Please respond off-list by January 8 and I will
summarize for the list shortly after. The long
deadline is for those who are gone for the
Holidays.

Thank you
