I was in the National Museum of American History (part of the Smithsonian Institution) last week, and one of their exhibits offered a poll. One of the questions was "Do you find the Internet as useful as a library?". Eighty percent of the 200,000 people who had answered that question since March 1998 said "yes". Roy Tennant
