This question comes come pretty regularly these days. Some Navigator bugs
survive through every rev of the program.

The problem is in the Netscape History file. It seems to become corrupted
after it reaches a certain size, typically about 300K. Clearing the History
from the Preferences menu often has no effect.

The only known fix is to manually delete the NETSCAPE.HST file. You can
usually prevent the problem by setting Netscape to retain History for only one
day.

Hope this helps.
