Thanks to an infuse of creative perl work from Roy Tennant, the LibraryLand
site has taken another big step in its transformation from an out-of-control
link list site into a subject-focused search engine:
http://sunsite.berkeley.edu/LibraryLand/
The following sites are now indexed:
American Library Association
Electronic Reserves Clearinghouse
Resources of Use to Government Documents Librarians
Health Sciences Internet Librarianship Resource Page
Book Arts Web
Conservation Online
FIDDO Project
Libstats
AcqWeb
Library Support Staff Resource Center
Young Adult Librarian's Help/Home Page
Librarians Serving Genealogists
Ready, 'Net, Go! Archival Internet Resources
&
Art Libraries Society of North America

Roy's recent enhancement was the addition of an initial search result screen
that lists the number of hits at each site. This seemed appropriate, given
the wide variation in the total file sizes at the above sites.
Yesterday I revised the main page to include scope notes on each of these
sites, credits to their maintainers, and their relative sizes in terms of
bytes and files (indexed.) It's a work in progress, so comments and
suggestions are appreciated.
