POSITIONS OPEN -- ACADEMIC LIBRARY

TWO REFERENCE POSITIONS, UNIVERSITY OF NORTH FLORIDA LIBRARY
Assistant University Librarians to provide user services in a
service-oriented, technologically innovative library.
Twelve-month, non-tenure faculty.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: Reference desk service with scheduled
nights and weekends, library user instruction, collection
development and maintenance, and Web publishing.
REQUIRED: (Position #31015): Master's degree from ALA-accredited
program by September 30, 1999; excellent oral and written
communication skills; proficiency in using print and electronic
resources and networked Internet services; strong keyboard
skills; ability to work with and instruct library users in an
efficient, courteous and patient manner; ability to adapt to
change; professional curiosity, initiative, and enthusiasm.
SALARY: Minimum $28,000.

REQUIRED: (Position #319110): Master's degree from ALA-accredited
program; at least two years professional library reference
experience; excellent oral and written communication skills;
proficiency in using print and electronic resources and networked
Internet services; strong keyboard skills; ability to work with
and instruct library users in an efficient, courteous and patient
manner; ability to adapt to change; professional curiosity,
initiative, and enthusiasm. Preferred: collection development
experience and background in providing service in business,
health or law.  SALARY: Minimum $30,000.
