Netscape vs IE

Since I'm rather new to the list please excuse me if this has been
covered extensively before.

I have discovered that our problem with Historian and Hotmail (pc
locking up after the login) is related not only to Historian, but also
to the browser. The error does not occur with IE. Since my director
very much wants the count of web use from Historian (it had to be
disabled in order for patrons to access Hotmail) we can use IE instead
of Netscape.

Since I use both browses on my personal pc and tend to prefer Netscape
(therefore I'm more familiar with it) I would like to ask the list about
the potential for abuse and other headaches associated with IE versus
Netscape (the current version of IE available by download vs the
Netscape 4 we are running) We have found Fortres works well enough for
our needs and that we do not need to lock down the toolbars on
Netscape. I am currently thinking of making the change to IE but would
appreciate any caveats the list has to offer.
