Link Converters - Clarification

Clarification on the link converters topic:

We have to convert pages and pages of URL's that someone has already
typed into Word documents without creating links at that time they typed
them in. (I'll make sure they don't do that next time!) I wrote a script
in Perl that uses regular expressions to do this but I wish there were a
Word macro for other staff to use. I know VB and could probably do one
in VBA but I don't want to reinvent the wheel!
