[WEB4LIB] Communication between Librarian & Webmaster?

I would suggest that librarians take an active role in the web
committee. I am a librarian and I chair the CWIS (Campus Wide
Information System) committee which includes several librarians, tech
people, faculty, administrators from student activities,
publications, public relations, admissions, etc. and the web
specialist. The librarian perspective of information content and use
is important to balance the many marketing and design issues involved
in web development. It is also a good place to learn more about the
web and foster good relationships with valuable tech people and the
institution beyond the library.
