As another alternative, I just ran across a script which will also re-direct
from an old to a new URL. It's a "cut and paste" JavaScript that will,
according to DevHead, function in the IE3, IE4+, NS3, and NS4.05+ browsers.

The free sourcecode for the script is available at the DevHead ScriptLibrary
<http://www.zdnet.com/devhead/resources/scriptlibrary/navigation.html>
as "URL Redirect with Timer".

According to the devhead web site, "These scripts are free. Many of them just
require you to keep in the original authors' comment/byline information in
order to have permission to use them on your site."
