How did you go about choosing an Integrated Software System?

Perhaps many of you could help us find out your experience with
integrated library management systems such as:

Aleph
MicroIsis (Bireme)
SLS
VTLS
Dinyx
Sirsi
TLC

It would be nice if you could send your experience about:
  Implementation problems
  File conversion
  Technical Support
  Flexibility to introduce modification and/or adapting to local needs
  Training
  Contract

System Usage:

What do your USERS think of:
Friendliness 
Ease of use for querying 

What LIBRARIANS think of:
Which of the integrated functions have presented more problems?
Main difficulties are due to:
- lack of proper training
- systems' lack of flexibility
- other
How much training is included in the purchase?
Are license costs too high for the services rendered?

What do SYSTEMS PEOPLE think of:
- Difficulties in implementing, on various OS?
- Main problems with data migration and/or conversion
- How companies have responded to difficulties
- flexibility to adapt to local needs
- problems with implementation of Z39.50 protocol
- Boolean and String searches failures ?
- Single/multiple databases
- Web Browser type of search.

This looks like too much for a message, but maybe someone
would like to try it anyway.
