This posting appeared just today on Gleason Sackman's net-happenings list.
It's not atypical; I've seen chat rooms used for everything from chronic
disease support groups to Bible study.

This Chat room is for Alcoholics or anyone that thinks they have a drinking
problem. Although this Alcoholics Anonymous Chat Room is not AA approved we
are here for serious fellowship and fun.

There are a broad range of A.A. topics to be covered and no one is limited
to any specific topic. We realize that we must be responsible productive
members of society and as such everyone is asked to respect this resource,
watch their own behavior and language. There are no Alcoholics Anonymous
Cops in this Chat Room, It is the responsibility of the Group conscious to
ignore Chat room abusers. God be with you and have fun.
