If patrons are using the electronic resources more than the print, then more
$$$ should be allocated for them. It is just as simple/difficult (and the
same question, really) as deciding which print indices, etc to buy. There is
nothing alarming about it unless, as you suggest, one doesn't view
electronic resources as a core element of their collections-- in which case
they better start doing so.
